Tania is on extended hiatus and is not available for school visits for now. Please keep an eye on this page for any changes.
Tania has over 15 years's experience visiting schools, libraries and other organisations to read books, present and speak on a wide range of topics from publishing to marketing and story-writing. As an ambassador for the National Year of Reading, the Chief Minister's Reading Challenge and The Reading Hour, and a Books in Homes Role Model, she is passionate about reading and literacy. She is based in Canberra, Australia.

When visiting your school or organisation, the following would be warmly appreciated:
Tania will bring a USB stick with a PowerPoint presentation, props, books and order forms {if applicable} and will arrive 20 minutes before presentation to set up. She enjoys blogging about school visits but will never feature names or the faces of children online, unless agreed with the school.

Tania can also speak to adult groups and conferences on writing, self-publishing, marketing and inspirational themes. She has experience in chairing panels and in hosting in-conversation events.

For schools, Tania has been a Writer in Residence, running full book creation programmes
with students {from concept to book launch}, and has run both preset and customised workshops in story-writing for primary school children.
A typical presentation takes around 45 minutes and audience numbers are unlimited, providing adequate visual and audio projection is available.
When visiting your school or organisation, the following would be warmly appreciated:
- Confirmation of dates and session times, well in advance
- Venue address, parking advice and directions to the front office/venue
- A mobile phone contact in case of emergency
- Readings spaced as closely together as possible, ie: either no breaks or very short breaks in between (unless sessions run all day, when a break for lunch would be fabulous)
- The grades and number of students attending
- A smartboard or projector setup with PowerPoint capability
- A laptop with 2 USB ports (I use a page clicker remote)
- Someone on hand with technical knowledge to ensure smartboard setup doesn’t go awry (as it so often does!)
- A cup of tea would be lovely!--no sugar, a little splosh of milk
